Mori Hamada and LegalOn Technologies, Inc. (headquarters: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director, Executive Officer and CEO: Nozomu Tsunoda) started a business alliance in April 2024 and Mori Hamada started providing content* to “LegalOn Cloud” “in September 2024. We have now concluded a new strategic partnership in conjunction with a capital alliance.
The recent rapid development of technology such as generative AI and AI agents is bringing a major transformation to legal and contracting work. In this environment, it is essential for law firms and legal tech companies to work closely together.

LegalOn Technologies, a global legal AI company, has been promoting the efficiency and sophistication of legal and contracting work using state-of-the-art AI technology. More than 7,000 companies globally have paid for the legal AI products provided by LegalOn Technologies.
We believe that combining Mori Hamada’s deep expertise in legal practice with LegalOn Technologies’ technological strengths will create new value in the legal and contracting domain and accelerate the digital transformation of legal services.
Through this strategic partnership, in addition to the equity participation by Mori Hamada, we will take various initiatives as described below.
- Using the Legal AI “LegalOn” in Mori Hamada
Mori Hamada will deploy legal AI tool “LegalOn” in our offices outside Japan, to further support the provision of high-quality legal services to our clients. In addition, we will consider introducing other new functions that are under development (including matter management and AI agent functions). We aim to upgrade the internal knowledge management of law firms and bring innovation to the way legal services are provided. - Linkage to knowledge held by Mori Hamada
Mori Hamada’s unmatched legal expertise will be provided through LegalOn Technologies’ legal AI in a way that allows many companies to immediately leverage our firm’s expertise when needed. Currently, our joint products include the “MORI HAMADA Library” of legal content, including contract templates, explanatory articles on M&A and international transactions in the Asian region, and a newsletter covering the latest legal topics. We will consider increasing the area and number of contents included in the library.
In addition, we will cooperate with LegalOn Technologies in the development of other services, to provide clients with ever-higher quality services and unparalleled support for their corporate legal affairs.
