Indonesia’s practitioner Viska Kharisma wins our June lawyer of the month for her leading role in advising copper smelter Amman Mineral International on its planned debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
Kharisma, a corporate partner specialising in capital markets and financial services, led a Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung team to provide legal advice to the issuer. The deal is on track to become the biggest initial public offering in Southeast Asia this year.
Kharisma is experienced in handling sophisticated capital markets and public M&A transactions, particularly in the banking, fintech and manufacturing sectors with multi-jurisdictional elements. She has enduring relationships with leading global financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse, and leading domestic securities companies Mandiri Sekuritas, CSLA and Indo Premier Sekuritas (IPS).
Kharisma recently worked on a high profile cross-border bank acquisition, where she represented Permata Bank as the target. This notable M&A was the first acquisition of a publicly-listed bank under Indonesia’s newly revised commercial bank investment rules.
