Capital markets specialist Iwan Setiawan wins asialaw's November Lawyer of the Month award for his leading role in representing Global Digital Niaga, an Indonesian e-commerce and software company, on its Rp 8 trillion ($510 million) IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This marks Indonesia’s second largest IPO in 2022.
Setiawan is a highly reputable lawyer with over 30 years of experience. As head of the capital markets practice for Makes & Partners, his credentials, track record and relationship with the IDX and other regulatory bodies make him an expert in his field. He has advised an extensive list of clients both domestic and foreign including Mitra Adiperkasa, Lippo Karawaci and Kalbe Farma. Notably, Setiawan was recently appointed as Chairman of the Capital Markets Lawyers Association in Indonesia for 2021-2024.
