Recent case highlights:

Tsar & Tsai assisted the syndicated lenders in a financing project for going private transaction launched by Baring PE Fund and the major shareholders for Ginko International, a company listed on TSE. This was the largest going private transaction in 2021.

Tsar & Tsai acted as the Taiwan legal counsel to the lenders, hedge banks and export credit agencies (ECAs) in successfully closing the project financing of approximately US$2.7 billion co-investment by CDPQ / Cathay Sustainable Private Equity Fund in the 605MW Greater Changhua 1 offshore wind farm and associated holdco financing in Taiwan. The case was recognized by IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2022 as “Deal of The Year: Project Finance.”

Tsar & Tsai assisted Cathay United Bank and its offshore branch in its offering of offshore structured notes and sale to onshore qualified investors. This case is the first product launched after Taiwan lifted the restrictions for sale of offshore structured products in Taiwan.
