A high profile litigator Davinder Singh has left Drew & Napier to set up his own firm after 37 years, where he was executive chairman of the firm.

Singh is expected to be joined by Drew’s dispute resolution directors Jaikanth Shankar and Pardeep Singh Khosa at his new firm.

He acted for numerous landmark and significant cases such as representing Singapore’s founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew against opposition politicians; and representing current prime minister Lee Hsien Loong against blogger Leong Sze Hian on a defamation case.

He is recognised as a Dispute Resolution Star for his commercial and transactions disputes and international arbitration practices by Benchmark Litigation.

Drew & Napier is ranked in Tier 1 for commercial and transactions, insolvency and international arbitration. The firm is also ranked in Tier 2 for construction and shipping disputes in Singapore in the latest edition of Benchmark Asia-Pacific.
