Touchstone Partners was formed as a splinter from Platinum Partners in late 2020. Corporate specialist Karam Daulet-Singh is the managing partner, and he helms a team of 35 lawyers including six partners. The firm and its senior leaders have always been highly-regarded in the market for high end, complex M&A and private equity work.

Advised BP on its investment of $1 billion in a fuels and mobility joint venture with Reliance Industries 

Represented Lanxess in the sale of its organic leather chemicals business to TFL Ledertechnik for EUR115 million.  

Acted for ZPG Comparison Services Holdings in connection with the Indian leg of its global acquisition of Admiral Group by way of share and business transfers.

Competition/antitrust

Work highlights 

Advised the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on its acquisition of 100% of shares, alongside Baring Private Equity Asia and GIC, of Virtusa Corporation for $2 billion. 

Represented Porsche to obtain merger control clearance under the green channel route within an internal restructuring exercise.  

Acted for BP on obtaining merger control clearance in the $1 billion joint venture between the client and Reliance Industries for fuel retail marketing and related activities.
