Overview

Singh & Singh is a leading intellectual property firm with four partners and 27 qualified practitioners. The team is known for its contentious IP work, but it also has experience in media and telecoms, arbitration, competition, tax and pharmaceuticals laws. In all those areas, it provides litigation, advisory, regulatory, prosecution and enforcement expertise. The firm is led by partners Sudeep Chatterjee, Bitika Sharma, Saya Choudhary Kapoor and Ashutosh Kumar.

Intellectual property

Represented TLM Ericsson (Publ) in a landmark SEP infringement case against Lava International. The Delhi High Court awarded damages to the client for unauthorised use of telecommunication technology without a FRAND licence. This decision marks a significant milestone in India's telecommunications jurisprudence.  

Acted for Mashi Exports India in securing an ad-interim injunction against Ramesh Goplani, prohibiting the counterfeiting of its registered trademark "Nsibti Laaziza". 

Represented Zydus Lifesciences before the Delhi High Court, which overturned a prior injunction against its biosimilar Pertuzumab. This allowed the company to continue its case against Roche's patent infringement claims.
