Acted for a media agency that is the plaintiff in a case concerning alleged fraudulent misrepresentations by the defendants that induced the plaintiff to enter a service contract the defendants never intended to fulfil, subsequently failing to pay the plaintiff for work done. The case is complicated as it involves laws changing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Acted for a mould manufacturer in recovering outstanding payments for goods supplied to the defendant, who had ordered and received the goods but failed to make necessary payments due under purchase orders. The defendant breached the contract by non-payment, constituting an outstanding debt. After the defendant evaded service of documents, the plaintiff filed and was granted a substituted service application and subsequently obtained judgment in default against the defendant.
Acted for a nationwide face mask distributor planning to build a warehouse. The plaintiff engaged a Chinese company for the design of certain equipment to be installed, agreeing on design blueprints to be provided. However, the Chinese company refused to provide the blueprints. The plaintiff is currently negotiating with the company to resolve the cross-territorial dispute involving a leading Chinese design firm.
