Analysis

Overview

Founded in 2015 with offices in Delhi and Mumbai, Gravitas Legal offers bespoke, quality representation on projects, investments, M&A, disputes, and real estate matters. Last year, the firm expanded its reach into the insolvency, securities, and white-collar crime spaces. The firm moves up a notch in the dispute resolution ranking this year. It has niche experience advising private equity funds and working on pure fund structuring mandates. In addition to regular project finance and corporate finance documentation, the firm excels in novel and atypical transactions around the 5/25 flexible structuring scheme and special drawing rights. Gravitas is empanelled with several banks and financial institutions including PTC India Financial Services, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India and L&T Infra Finance. Banking and insolvency partner Tanuj Sud is a key contact at the firm. Other notable personnel include corporate partner Varij Sharma and disputes specialists Rajeev Aggarwal and Rahul Gaikwad.
