Full-service firm Dua Associates is best known for its litigation and arbitration strength. Work highlights 

Represented the Dow Chemical Company in a complex litigation before the Supreme Court emanating from a toxic industrial disaster that occurred in Bhopal in 1984 wherein the Union of India and certain NGOs have sought enhanced compensation by filing of a curative petition. The Apex Court’s decision in the matter is a landmark one as it covered within its ambit all aspects that relate to the scope and maintainability of a ‘curative petition’ in the current legal regime in India. 

Acted for Rodic Consultants before multiple fora. In a recent writ petition, Dua Associates was successful in obtaining a stay from the Delhi High Court on the operation of the impugned blacklisting order, which banned business dealings with Rodic for a period of five years.

Work highlights 

Represented Bel Group when it entered into a joint venture in India with Britannia Industries. 

Advised Mahindra Logistics on its acquisition of approximately 60% stake in ZipZap Logistics.
