Work highlights

Acted for Kelington Engineering, the Singapore subsidiary of Kelington Group Berhad, in a suit against its ex-country manager following the latter’s breach of a letter of appointment. This dispute concerns the applicability and relevance of the doctrine of penalty clauses in the context of fixed-term employment contracts, and is the first of its kind in Singapore.

Defended Systematic Airconditioning and its director-shareholder in a dispute against the other director-shareholder of the company in relation to allegedly unpaid dividends by the client.

Acted for a travel company, Raffles Air, on its suit against three directors of the said company on the ground of breach of fiduciary duties, breach of trust and unlawful means conspiracy.
