Dispute resolution

Work highlights

Representing Semantan Estate (1952) in a significant land dispute against the Government of Malaysia concerning 263.272 acres of prime land in Kuala Lumpur. The case, which began with a successful 2009 High Court ruling establishing government trespass since 1957, has progressed through multiple appeal stages. This case is important due to the novel points involved in giving effect to a (non-monetary) judgment against the Government of Malaysia to recover immovable property and has received considerable publicity.
