Overview

Established in late 2020, BTPLaw is a boutique corporate law firm with a notable specialism in investment funds and private equity. It also covers M&A, ECM, financial services regulatory and general corporate work, and is active in the blockchain and cryptocurrency spaces. The firm interestingly has its own BVI practice, headed up by offshore law veteran, Stephen Adams. Managing director Brandon Tee is the key contact. Recently, the team welcomed data protection and privacy specialist Shen Xiaoyin from GIC to spearhead the firm’s data protection practice. BTP also has its sights set on launching a China practice, hiring counsel Jessica Foo from a Shanghai law firm to guide its growth.

Advised Sygnum Bank and Azimut Investment Management as the co-managers of SBI Sygnum Azimut – Digital Asset Opportunity Fund VCC.

Assisted Pilgrim Partners Asia on the formation of TCM Digital Asset Fund and TCM Digital Asset Income Fund, each a sub-fund of TCM Capital VCC.

Acted for First Degree Global Asset Management on the formation of Earthwake Reforestation Bond Fund I, a sub-fund of Earthwake Green Impact Fund VCC.

Represented Safe Harbor Capital Management on the formation of Taotie, a sub-fund of Taotie Capital VCC.
