Overview

Established in late 2020, BTPLaw is a boutique corporate law firm with a notable specialism in investment funds and private equity. It has been established as a market leader for deals using the Singapore variable capital company (VCC) structure. At the time of research, BTPLaw had closed 20% of the global market share of VCC fund formation structures. This year, it moves up in the investment funds ranking.

In addition to its core areas, the firm covers M&A, equity capital markets, FSR regulatory and general corporate work, and is active in the blockchain and cryptocurrency spaces. The firm has its own BVI practice, headed up by an offshore law veteran, and is uniquely able to handle BVI fund matters in-house. Managing director Brandon Tee is the key contact. He leads a team of seven, including five senior lawyers.
