Work highlights 

Advised SADA, the State of Kedah government-affiliated water company, in relation to the NRW (Non-Revenue Water) Concession Agreement. This was the first agreement of its kind in Malaysia to holistically reduce non-revenue water utilisation by a water company. Saving water is part of the sustainability agenda for SADA and for Malaysia as a whole. 

Advised Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia (SME Bank) on setting up the SME Recapitalisation Fund with three institutional investors. The fund is part of the Malaysian Government’s Vibrant Business Programme introduced during the 2022 Budget, aimed at ensuring the regrowth of SMEs, encouraging business expansion and controlling their level of indebtedness through more innovative financing solutions. 

Acted for Baladna Food Industries Company in its Malaysian joint-venture arrangement pertaining to the development of an integrated dairy farming project in Perlis, Malaysia. The project aims to strengthen the National Food Security Agenda and to position FGV Chuping Agro Valley as one of the leading agro-valley hubs in Malaysia, delivering sustainable value for its stakeholders and better living conditions to the local community as well as addressing the country’s food security concerns, under the supervision of the Malaysian Northern Corridor Implementation Authority.
