Work highlights 

Acted for Maybank Investment Bank being the principal adviser and lead arranger for the sukuk wakalah programmes and corporate bonds programmes. These programmes together totalled up to RM2 billion and included commercial paper, medium-term notes, and their Islamic equivalents. 

Advised the underwriters consisting of Maybank Investment Bank, CIMB Investment Bank and AmInvestment Bank for ITMAX’s IPO. The IPO comprised up to 320 million ordinary shares in ITMAX in conjunction with the listing and quotation of ITMAX’s entire enlarged issued share capital on the main market of Bursa Malaysia.

Work highlights 

Advised MIDF Amanah Investment Bank on an up to RM50 million ($10.9 million) Islamic term financing facility based on the shariah principle of Murabaha (deferred sale) granted to MSA Resources for the purpose of building a digital superhighway network in Malaysia. The project aims to help Malaysia become a digital economy hub in the region and attract foreign investors to the digital network services sector. 

Advised AmBank Islamic and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) on a up to RM220 million multilateral financing facility granted to JAKS Solar Nibong Tebal as the borrower. The financing proceeds will fund the development and operation of a 50 megawatt-AC solar photovoltaic energy-generating facility located in Nibong Tebal, Penang, and subsequently the borrower’s working capital. 

Acted for Weststar Aviation Services in the syndicated facilities granted by a consortium of banks. The facilities obtained were to refinance the existing facility of Weststar Aviation Services and any balance thereof to finance the capital expenditure and working capital requirements of Weststar Aviation Services.
