Career highlights: Duyen is admitted to practise law in Vietnam and New York. She holds an LLM from the University of Michigan Law School and Temple University School of Law (Fulbright scholar).
Duyen advises foreign investors, private equity funds, issuers, and financial institutions on equity and bond investment as well as other debt instruments in private and public companies in Vietnam. Some of her recent notable deals include Mondelez’s US$370 million acquisition of Kinh Do Corporation, HAGL’s bond offering and listing on the Singapore Exchange, Credit Suisse as lead manager in Vietnam’s first ever US$310 million concurrent equity offering and international convertible bond offering for listing on the Singapore Exchange by Novaland Group, and Warburg Pincus’s US$200 million joint venture with Becamex IDC to develop logistic properties in Vietnam. .
She also advises international lenders in the financing of infrastructure, energy and real estate projects. She has advised BNP Paribas in a reserves-based lending transaction relating to an upstream petroleum project in Vietnam and a number of aircraft financing deals; and, JBIC, MUFG, HSBC Citi and a number of PE funds on financing transactions to finance energy and infrastructure projects in Vietnam, including the financing of Phu My 2.2 BOT power project and the Vung Ang 2 BOT power project.
Duyen has been recognised as a leading lawyer in Vietnam by IFLR1000, Legal 500 and Asialaw.
