Career highlights: Ramil is the lead partner for the firm’s Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Group as well as co-heading the Infrastructure Group while continues to be heavily involved in Mergers and Acquisition practice. As head of the Banking Group, Ramil has spearheaded several key transactions of the Firm from large FIG M&A to project financing and regulatory issues to more complex and highly specialized functions such as structuring novel financing transactions for public issuers. He advises clients in various types of public infrastructure projects. Ramil is also heavily involved in fintech and microfinance advisory work.
Ramil received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Ateneo De Manila University in 1999 where he graduated with honors, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2000. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree (Finance) from the De La Salle University (2006) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ateneo De Manila University (1994). Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney for the Philippine Department of Finance from 2002-2006 and was a consultant to the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank on the development of certain non-traditional financial products. Ramil is a Ranked Lawyer by leading legal publications.
