Career highlights: Ramil is the lead partner for the firm’s Infrastructure Group as well as the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Group while continues to be heavily involved in Mergers and Acquisition practice. With more than seventeen years into the practice of law, Ramil has specialized in advising both foreign and local clients in basic project finance transactions to highly specialized functions such as developing comprehensive legislative proposals on behalf of governmental agencies, as well as managing public consultation processes for projects that involve various industries. He has acted legal consultant to the Public-Private Partnership Center and various Philippine government agencies, as well as for private sector participants, on various types of PPP projects (airport, transport, health and water).
Ramil received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Ateneo De Manila University in 1999 where he graduated with honors, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2000. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree (Finance) from the De La Salle University (2006) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ateneo De Manila University (1994). Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney for the Philippine Department of Finance from 2002-2006. He was a consultant to the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank on the development of certain non-traditional financial products, and a former lecturer on financial transactions for the joint MBA-JD program of DLSU-FEU.
