In 2000, he acted as one of the Private Prosecutors in the Impeachment Trial of Former President Joseph Estrada, upon the recommendation of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. He has orally argued before the Supreme Court in high-profile cases, the most recent ones being the disqualification petition against a sitting Senator and leading contender in the 2016 Presidential elections, and the quo warranto petition filed against the Chief Justice in 2018, where he served as lead counsel for the Chief Justice.
