Jayesh has extensive transactional experience in inbound and outbound foreign investment, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, acquisition financing, leveraged buy-outs, sponsor financing, restructuring, etc. He is the pre-eminent practitioner in India for structured finance and bankruptcy and restructuring.
Jayesh has addressed various topics/ panel discussions on current legal and regulatory topics at various seminars and conferences held in India and offshore sponsored by American Bar Association, Asia Pacific Loan Market Association, International Pacific Bar Association, International Financial Law Review, International Swaps and Derivatives Association, New York State Bar Association, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, World Islamic Banking Conferences to name a few.
Jayesh is a law graduate of the Government Law College, Mumbai. He is enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and is also a solicitor enrolled with the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. He is a chartered financial analyst as well as a diploma holder in business finance.
As a Chevening Scholar, Jayesh gained experience in English and European Community laws and regulations by undergoing training at the College of Law in York and working briefly with a London based firm of solicitors in their corporate finance department. Early on in life Jayesh was a qualitative market researcher.
