Career highlights: Ariff began his legal career in 1989 with an international law firm in London. In 1991, he started practising as a Barrister in Temple, London, where he was instructed as Counsel at various levels of the judicial system in England and Wales. In 2003 he joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co in Malaysia and was head of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Ariff founded Ariff Rozhan & Co in 2015 and is also the firm’s Managing Partner.
Ariff specialises in complex claims and disputes and represents both Malaysian and multinational companies.
Recent highlights for Ariff include acting for Malaysia’s largest bank in a RM multi-million case involving internet fraud, representing a multinational Middle Eastern client in a RM multi-million construction dispute, and advising an international aircraft manufacturer in a USD250 million arbitration. Ariff also currently acts for a statutory body in a case involving fraudulent transfers of several parcels of land and represented a power station in a RM300 million insurance claim.
Ariff continues to practise as a Barrister in England and Wales. He is registered with the Bar Council of England and Wales for direct access and is also authorised to conduct Litigation.
