Moon & Song
A leading maritime and shipping specialist law firm, Moon & Song has been a familiar partner to international shipping businesses since 2006. Founder Kwang-Myeong Moon is a highly-respected maritime law pioneer with over two decades’ worth of experience in the field and he is active in all the firm’s work. Moon & Song’s mastery of shipping matters makes it a top choice for major protection and indemnity insurance clubs, insurers, shipowners and charterers. Its bread and butter remains collision and grounding cases within Korean territorial waters.
Appointed by Japan P&I Club to defend the owner of a speeding vessel that collided into a strip of cranes while entering Pusan New Port. As the civil case is still in an early stage, the firm is concentrating on reducing the liability of its client against the owner of the cranes and damaged container vessel.
Represented SC Grand Shipping in criminal and civil proceedings as the owners of the Russian Flagged Vessel Sea Grand, which collided with the Busan Gwangan Bridge and two yachts. The team is also defending the clients in administrative proceedings in the Busan Maritime Safety Tribunal.
