Singapore’s “unique boutique”
We have been aptly described as Singapore’s “unique boutique” disputes firm, with an established reputation as a leading, specialist Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice. We thrive on high-profile and difficult civil, corporate and commercial disputes and complex international arbitrations under the SIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL and other rules.
Dispute Resolution : Singapore Litigation & International Arbitration
Our counsel act for private clients and corporations alike, in high-stakes litigation and arbitration cases of a scale and complexity familiar to leading Singapore and multinational law firms.
In contrast to these larger practices however, we are almost always conflict-free. As a pure disputes firm, without any transactional, corporate or other practice areas, we are able to act against financial institutions, multinational corporations and even States.
Our Managing Partner, Edmund Kronenburg, is described as a ‘Market Leading’ Dispute Resolution Lawyer by AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers, with over 22 years’ experience in dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration. He regularly appears as lead counsel in hearings, trials and appeals before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as in international arbitrations, frequently opposing Senior Counsel. He has also been instructed by solicitors to act as counsel, and in 2012, successfully appeared against Queen’s Counsel in the Singapore High Court. Edmund also sits as an arbitrator and has conducted international arbitrations in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
We believe in taking ownership of our clients' problems. We are known for guiding clients strategically at each stage of a dispute, from the point of initial advice all the way through to final resolution - whether by trial, arbitration or a commercial settlement in our clients’ best interests.
We have international reach. We work closely with a variety of firms in other jurisdictions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Being a member of LEGALINK – a global network of over 60 independent law firms comprising more than 3,000 legal professionals – we are also able to collaborate closely with trusted, experienced overseas colleagues on any case that would benefit from their legal expertise.
Awards & Accolades
Our firm and its counsel have received accolades, awards and rankings in a variety of legal directories, among them: Legal 500 (Asia Pacific), Chambers & Partners (Asia-Pacific & Global), AsiaLaw Profiles, AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal : Litigation and Benchmark Asia-Pacific.
