India’s HSA Advocates has appointed corporate lawyer Sunando Mukherjee as a partner in Delhi from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas as a continuation of its efforts to reassemble the team due to the loss of more than 20 lawyers, chiefly to DSK Legal and IndusLaw, in 2019.

Mukherjee spent 13 years at SAM and its antecedent Amarchand Mangaldas. His practice areas include corporate and M&A, project finance with a special focus on the energy sector. He has advised the government of India in relation to the Dedicated Freight Corridor project, a World Bank funded project and has also advised global banks and multilateral financial institutions like IFC, ADB concerning their funding for projects in India.
