Fangzhou (Ark) Bao, a senior partner with AllBright Law Offices, led a team to advise major underwriters on the IPO of Hua Hong Semiconductor, China’s second largest chip maker, on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on 7 August. With $2.96 billion raised, Hong Hua was the largest new equity sale in the Asia Pacific region and the second largest IPO in the world this year.
The importance and symbolism of the deal is evident amid the current competition for technology supremacy between China and the US.
A seasoned practitioner for capital markets and corporate and M&A transactions, Bao is also well-versed in real estate-related matters.
