Yang and her team advised software company Navlnfo on its copyright infringement claim against three Baidu companies found to be using ‘substantially similar software’ without permission. The Beijing Intellectual Property Court awarded NavInfo $9.8 million in damages, the highest damages award for copyright infringement cases in China to date.
Founded in 2002, software product developer Navlnfo produces navigation and digital map related software. Its core business includes HD map, high accuracy positioning, cloud service platform and automotive-grade semiconductors for ADAS and autonomous driving.
