Environmental law specialist Nawneet Vibhaw has left Khaitan & Co for Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) in Delhi. He will helm SAM’s environmental advisory and disputes-related work. His hiring is a coup for SAM as Vibhaw’s practice focuses solely on environmental law, making him one of the rare biglaw partners in the country to specialise in this area.

Technology-focused outfit Algo Legal has branched out its services into dispute resolution with the hiring of litigation specialist Namitha Mathews as a Delhi-based partner. She joins Algo from her own independent practice, Samvid Legal, bringing along associate Poorva Pant.

In August, IndusLaw scooped up two corporate partners from Algo Legal. This included Algo’s transactional practice head and senior partner, Siddharth Machanda, and associate partner Minhaz Lokhandwala. Both specialise in private equity and venture capital work.

Finally, AZB & Partners financial services partner Anu Tiwari is leaving the firm. He was made a partner at AZB in 2016 after joining from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. It is not yet confirmed where he will land next.
