Shook Lin & Bok is expanding its Singapore office with the addition of Joseph Chun, an environmental specialist, as partner who will be leading its environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice.
Chun teaches environmental law at National University of Singapore concurrently. He added: “Increasingly, businesses understand that in order to be sustainable, ESG considerations must become an integral part of business strategy and can no longer merely be an add-on option for doing business. The tension is not between doing good and doing well; it is between pursuing the short-term and long-term interests of the business. With the launch of its ESG practice, the firm is well-positioned to assist and advise clients to develop and adopt sound practices and policies to create better value in the short and long term”.
