Partner Yi Wang of JunHe wins our March lawyer of the month award for his key role in China Literature’s sale of Lazy Audio to Tencent Music Entertainment Group (Tencent Music).

JunHe has advised China Literature on its sale of 100% equity of Lazy Audio to Tencent music at $414 million, primarily payable in cash with post-acquisition equity-settled awards to Lazy Audio's management team. Wang acted for China Literature as legal counsel and provided legal services for the vendors represented by China Literature throughout this transaction.

Established in 2012, comprehensive audio platform Lazy Audio provides entertainment in the forms of audiobooks, Chinese comedy, podcasts and other radio shows. The existing shareholders of Lazy Audio include China Literature, Lazy Audio's management team and other financial investors. Tencent Music will consolidate the investment in Lazy Audio and enable Lazy Audio to have full access to its expertise, technology, and promotional capabilities.

Based in Shanghai, Wang heads the firm’s capital market department. His practice covers capital markets, corporate and M&A and private equity. He is experienced in various kinds of restructuring as well as domestic and overseas listings, bond and stock issuance, M&A of listed companies, and private equity funds investments.
