Ms. Song is a full-time antitrust partner at AnJie Law Firm. She practices antitrust law since the very first years that China’s Anti-Monopoly Law was enacted and devoted her entire career so far to the practice of antitrust law. She has accumulated extensive experience in all types of antitrust cases, including antitrust investigations, private antitrust actions, merger filings and compliance counselling.

She has handled a number of high-profile cases in China, including the merger filing cases – GlobalWafers/Siltronic, MediaTek/Morning Star and ChemChina/Syngenta; the antitrust private litigation cases-Hitachi Metals case and Panasonic case, and the investigation case in sectors of LCD , auto parts, internet, pharmaceutical, technology, among many others. Ms. Song have also accumulated an array of experience in competition cases related to intellectual property. She has experience of handling various IP-related competition litigations and advised numerous high-tech companies on responding to antitrust investigations.

She was consecutively recognized by Chambers & Partners as Recommended PRC Competition/Antitrust Lawyer from 2017 to 2022,. From 2019 to 2021, she was awarded as Top Ten PRC Antitrust Lawyers by China Intellectual Property Forum. She was recognized as Top 15 female Lawyers of China in 2020 and as Top 15 Innovative Lawyers of China in 2021 by the LegalBand. She also serves as the experts in various tasks forces with ICC Competition Commission and closely follow the global trend of antitrust matters.

Ms. Song’s clientele ranges from large SOEs to renowned multinationals and medium-sized domestic or foreign companies. The clients are active in industries like automobile, electronics, semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, transportation, machinery, aviation and consumer goods. Her professional devotion is well recognized by many clients.

  • Ms. Song Ying specializes in anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition law. She provides a wide range of services including concentration filings to SAMR/MOFCOM, defense against cartel and abuse of market dominance investigations, private antitrust litigation, antitrust compliance, and antitrust economic analysis.

     

  • Ms. Song Ying also advises on concentration filings for American, German, Australian, Canadian, Japanese, Korean, Indian and Chinese enterprises in a broad range of sectors, including petrochemical, machinery, spinning, IT, energy, aviation, chemical, high-tech, automobile, financing, telecommunications, and other industries. For example, for Mediatekin’s acquisition of equity stakes in Mstar Semiconductor, she advised on the notification for review in a concentration of undertakings case.

  • As an outstanding M&A practitioner, Ms. Song Ying advises on corporate M&A and servicing cover equity acquisitions, asset acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, formal offers, and M&A in the way of auctions. She provides legal advice for enterprise preparation of transaction models, and for transaction financing and negotiation.

     

  • Ms. Song Ying represents clients in antitrust lawsuits in China. Her practice expertise includes defending against monopoly agreement, abuse of dominant position, two-sided market, and standard essential patent lawsuits, among other complex antitrust disputes.
