Career highlights: Wang Xiao Jun is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales and the People's Republic of China. Mr Wang first qualified in the PRC and after two years of legal practice in Beijing, he moved to London in 1988 working for a city firm. In 1991, Mr Wang went to study at Hong Kong University and passed the PCLL in Hong Kong, becoming the first PRC lawyer to qualify to practise law in Hong Kong.
Mr Wang subsequently joined the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as a member of the legal expert group for the forthcoming H-share listings of PRC companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr. Wang then joined Richards Butler in 1993, and in 1996, Mr Wang moved from legal practice to investment banking and joined Peregrine and ING Barings respectively, as a director in their investment banking divisions.
In 2001 Mr. Wang left the investment banking business to return to legal practice and established X.J.Wang & Co, which was associated with JunHe Law Offices in 2006. Since then Mr. Wang has been a partner of JunHe until he retired from JunHe in 2019.
In 2019 Mr. Wang established JNJ Partners LLP and still practises in the same areas.
Mr. Wang is specialized in the M&As, IPOs, banking, compliance, and general commercial practices. His major clients are including those SOEs, financial institutions, and listed companies.
