With over fifteen years of experience Nasir has extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, project finance, secured lending and cross border corporate transactions attaining the reputation as a leading infrastructure counsel in the region.  His areas of core competence include dealing in large scale global M&A deals, attending cross border traditional/islamic finance deals and structuring PPP projects.  

  • Acting for CEXIM in its financing of $2.4B thermal powerplant and CDB for a $350M financing in a PPP toll road project
  • Acted for Zhenhua Oil for its potential  $2billion acquisition of three oilfields 
  • Acted for IFC and Excelerate Energey in developing the first LNG terminal in Bangladesh
  • Acted in structuring of over 84 IPPs. Have been acting major renewable IPPs including the major solar plants, 1GW renewable island IPPs and the first waste to energy IPP
  • Acted for Sinohydro / CSI consortium to acquire First Dhaka Elevated Expressway
  • Acted for Shenzhen and Sannghai Stock Exchange in acquiring a sizeable stake in Dhaka Stock Exchange
  • Acted in $50billion Lafarge and Holcim merger
  • Acted in major PPP projects e.g. Payra Port, Chinese Economic Zone, South Asia Sub-regional Economic Cooperation (SASEK) Road etc.   
  • Advised ONGC-OIL JV and POSCO Daewoo in different exploration contracts
  • Acted for Gates Foundation in acquiring a stake in Bkash, divesting a part of it and Ant Financials in acquiring Daraz E-commerce platform
