Hardeep Sachdeva is a Senior Partner at AZB & Partners with over 30 years of experience advising Indian and multinational clients. Recognized as one of India’s foremost corporate and M&A lawyers, Hardeep has led several landmark M&A and private equity transactions, pioneering transformative deals across various sectors.

He is widely regarded as India’s most distinguished M&A lawyer, possessing a unique blend of expertise in corporate M&A and in-depth knowledge across various sectors and domains, including manufacturing, infrastructure projects, technology sector, industrial parks, real estate, e-commerce, retail, hospitality, data centers, education, pharmaceutical, alcoholic beverages and others. 

Hardeep is a leading lawyer for insolvencies, advises resolution applicants on acquiring companies and projects under the CIRP framework of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). He also represents banks and financial institutions on foreclosure of mortgaged properties & real estate assets. He has been lead counsel in landmark judgments shaping jurisprudence in enforcement & recovery actions, shareholder disputes, international commercial arbitrations, real estate and IBC matters in India.

He is an economics graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and done law from Campus Law Centre (CLC), Faculty of Law, Delhi University. He was admitted to the Indian Bar in 1995. He is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and the Delhi High Court Bar Association. In 1995, he joined Ajay Bahl & Co., a Delhi-based corporate law firm and one of the predecessor firms that combined to form AZB & Partners in 2004. He is a key member of the firm since.
