Fahrul S. Yusuf is a partner at SSEK and has been with the firm since 2002. He is heavily involved in helping clients with foreign investment deals, mergers and acquisitions, and various restructurings.

Fahrul is particularly experienced in advising clients on complex M&A transactions, with a focus on the banking and finance, and technology sectors. Fahrul also is experienced in all aspects of Indonesian labor and employment law.

Fahrul has been named a distinguished practitioner for labor and employment by Asialaw. He was named the Young Lawyer of the Year at the 2016 Asian Legal Business Indonesia Law Awards.


  • Assisted Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, in the indirect acquisition of TokoCrypto, the first cryptoasset exchange platform registered by the Indonesian government.
  • Assisted LINE Corp., through its subsidiary in Indonesia, with the acquisition of a peer-to-peer lending company in Indonesia.
  • Acted for Mastercard in connection with its strategic investment as the lead investor in the series B funding round of Digiasia, an Indonesian fintech startup.
  • Acted as Indonesian counsel for a Japan-based private equity firm in the acquisition of a multinational involved in the manufacturing and distribution of chemicals.
