Christian Teo is ranked as a “Rising Star” by asialaw for dispute resolution. He is also recognised as an Accredited Specialist (Maritime & Shipping) by the Singapore Academy of Law.
Christian focuses his practice primarily in commercial and international disputes. Advising clients from diverse jurisdictions around the world, his experience extends to all aspects of commercial disputes, including shareholders’ disputes, directors’ duties, fraud, debt enforcement, commodities, shipping and insolvency litigation. In the current global climate, Christian has increasingly worked with clients who require assistance with sanctions issues in both contentious and non-contentious contexts.
He has advised and represented state-owned companies, banks, listed and unlisted public companies, small and medium enterprises, and high net worth individuals. His clients entrust high value and complex matters to him with the confidence of receiving timely, practical and strategic advice.
He graduated with a Bachelors of Law, magna cum laude, from Singapore Management University. He also holds a Bachelors of Social Science (Sociology). He was awarded the top student in Legal Research and Writing in his university, where he was also placed on the Dean’s List. He emerged as a finalist in the national Advocacy Cup and represented SMU in an International Witness Examination Competition.
