Overview

PSL Advocates and Solicitors is a New Delhi-based boutique with a focus on commercial arbitration, insolvency, tax, corporate advisory, and commercial litigation. The firm sits on multiple government panels, such as State Bank of India, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and the Airports Authority of India, and it uniquely has specialist Russia, Israel, Japan, Dubai and Turkey desks. The firm recently expanded and opened up in Bengaluru to add to its roster of offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh. Co-founders and managing partners Sameer Jain and Sandeep Bajaj are the main firm contacts. Co-founding partner Siddharth Jain is another name to note. Partner Angad Sandhu left for an in-house role at Jindal Group.

Work highlights 

Represented Mahanagar Telephone Nigam on its ongoing dispute against Canara Bank and Canbank Financial Services. This has been one of the biggest disputes that arose out of the infamous Harshad Mehta scam in India. The case would set a landmark for many small business owners who are contesting the market variations caused by the events. 

Acted for Wipro before the Delhi High Court in a commercial suit filed on its behalf against Education and Research Network India.

Work highlights 

Represented the ex-promoter of Bhushan Power and Steel in a civil appeal pending before the Supreme Court where the resolution plan submitted in relation to the company has been challenged on various grounds. 

Engaged by the liquidator of Petron Engineering Construction for arbitration proceedings against a Chinese company
