IndusLaw has hired IP specialist Bharadwaj Jaishankar as a partner of its Bengaluru office. Prior to joining IndusLaw, he was the IP and innovation counsel for the Asia-Pacific region at Diageo.
Jaishankar’s practice covers IP, technology and commercial laws. He focuses on trademarks, copyrights, designs and geographical indications.
Jaishankar, who has nearly 13 years of professional experience, has also worked at Sim and San, Saikrishna & Associates and K&S Partners before his tenure at Diageo.
IndusLaw founding partner Suneeth Katarki said: “We are very happy to have Bharadwaj join us. We are confident that his vast experience in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters will help us increase our support to clients in this space. He also brings tremendous experience in technology IP and this will be an added boost to our TMT practice.”
With the addition of the new IP partner, IndusLaw now has 52 partners and over 220 lawyers across its four offices in Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
