Patty's practice areas include general commercial matters, employment, cross-border M&A, China direct investment, and real property matters. She has advised multinational companies in relation to M&A in Greater China, including due diligence, labour and employment issues, and regulatory compliance. She regularly advises on related tax matters, including tax saving structures and tax appeals and prosecutions for both Hong Kong and China. Patty is very experienced in real property work, and handles all aspects of matters relating to real property, such as sale/purchase, tenancies, sales and leaseback, and loan and finance documents.
Patty has advised clients on numerous commercial matters in the PRC, including tax issues arising from M&A deals, distribution and licensing agreements, and service agreements. She regularly conducts corporate restructures for multi-nationals in Greater China for regulatory compliance, asset protection and tax efficiency.
Patty received her law degree from the University of Hong Kong, and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong. Patty is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
