Career highlights: Victor Lee is the firm’s managing partner, effective as of 2016. The firm was founded in 1995 and quickly emerged among the giants of IP law firms. Tsai Lee & Chen enjoys more than 1,300 network relationships with global IP law firms and associates, and has accumulated valuable experience and networks in China ever since the firm was founded. Victor has been one of the partners for more than 15 years.
Victor is also the head of the legal division which comprises the firm’s trademark practice section. He is seasoned in assisting domestic and multi-national corporations in resolving trademark and copyright disputes; and has wide expertise in litigating patent cases before the IP Court. Under his supervision, the experienced litigators at Tsai, Lee & Chen have won many landmark cases relating to patents, trademark and trade dress issues, which have been frequently selected as reference cases by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO).
Victor has been continuously nominated and recognised as a reputable IP lawyer via surveys completed by professional media, such as Asialaw Leading Lawyers. He was the secretary general of both the Taiwan Patent Attorneys Association (TWPAA), and the Taiwan Group of the Asia Patent Attorneys Association (APAA Taiwan group).
Victor has both LLB and LLM degrees. He is the managing supervisor of the APAA Taiwan group, an arbitrator and a lecturer at the Seeding Teacher and Professional Training Academy for TIPO. He was a law clerk at the Taiwan Supreme Court.
He is a member of the APAA, FICPI, ECTA, TBA and TWPAA.
