Career highlights: Lei Wun Kong began his legal profession at Rato, Ling, Lei & Cortés Advogados in 2001 and became a senior partner in 2006. His main practice areas are commercial and real estate law, labour law and inter-regional conflict law, where he assists a large number of clients from the mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Portuguese speaking countries with general legal advice, due diligence, company formation, debt recovery and enforcing foreign legal judgments.
Lei Wun Kong taught at Macau Polytechnic Institute from 2004 to 2007 and the Labour Affairs Bureau from 2013 to 2014. Before entering private practice, he worked for the Government of Macau’s Land and Real Estate Registry, and the Government Head Office Auxiliary Bureau.
Besides his position in Macau, he is also senior partner of ZLF Law Office, which is located in China’s Hengqin free trade zone and is the first joint legal venture (mainland, Hong Kong and Macau) in China. He is the president of the Association of Legal Promotion of Macau, an elected member of the Superior Council of Advocacy and a member of the legislative group for elderly affairs of the Macau Government.
He speaks Chinese, English and Portuguese.
