Career highlights: Wang Xiao Jun is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales and the People's Republic of China. Mr Wang first qualified in the PRC and after two years of legal practice in Beijing, he went to London in 1988 working for a city firm. In 1991, Mr Wang went to study at Hong Kong University and passed the PCLL in Hong Kong, becoming the first PRC lawyer to qualify to practise law in Hong Kong.
Mr Wang subsequently joined the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as a member of the legal expert group for the preparation of forthcoming H-share listings of PRC companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr Wang joined Richards Butler in 1993. In 1996, Mr Wang moved from legal practice to investment banking and joined Peregrine and ING Barings, respectively, as a director in their investment banking divisions. In 2001 Mr Wang established XJ Wang & Co, and the firm then merged with Jun He Law Offices, PRC.
Mr Wang obtained his LLB from China People's University and his LLM from the graduate school at China's Academy of Social Sciences.
