Career highlights: Dato' Loh Siew Cheang is active both inside and out of the courts. He is widely acknowledged by his peers as one of the foremost litigators in Malaysia, and is recognised for securing ground-breaking decisions in Malaysia. His in-depth knowledge of corporate and securities law further enhances his reputation. He was a member of the Companies Law Reform Commission of Malaysia and is the author of the following company law books: Corporate Powers: Controls, Remedies and Decision Making (1996 Butterworths, Second Impression, 1997); and, Corporate Powers & Accountability (2002 Second Edition).
He is also the co-author of the Hong Kong edition of Company Law: Powers and Accountability (2003 LexisNexis Butterworths, Second Impression, 2005). This book was translated into Mandarin by the China Law Press (PRC) and is used as a comparative teaching and research reference in universities in the People's Republic of China.
