Hogan Lovells enters into formal association with Fujian Fidelity Law Firm
As part of its growth strategy in Asia, Hogan Lovells has entered into a formal association with Fujian Fidelity Law Firm in the China (Shanghai) Free Trade Zone. Established in 1989, Fidelity has a team of 170 lawyers and seven offices in China. The firm specialises in corporate/M&A, insolvency and liquidation, financial securities, real estate and construction, and dispute resolution. Hogan Lovells is the third international law firm to enter into an association in the Shanghai FTZ.
Tax litigation partner Deepak Chopra joins AZB & Partners
Deepak Chopra has joined AZB & Partners as partner and head of tax litigation. Chopra has 26 years of experience and has represented companies and the government in the Supreme Court, high courts, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and the Authority for Advance Rulings. Before the move, Chopra was senior standing counsel for the income tax department in the Delhi High Court.
