By Stephen Mulrenan

The time and date for the second in Asialaw’s series of web seminars has now been confirmed.

On Tuesday, July 21 at 5pm Hong Kong time (10am London time), Singapore Exchange general counsel and company secretary, Joyce Fong, together with GE Capital’s chief compliance officer for Southeast Asia, Sow Wei Wong, and Herbert Smith’s head of Asia dispute resolution, Mark Johnson, will join Asialaw managing editor Stephen Mulrenan to examine the recent rise in regulatory disputes.

Following the collapse of Lehman Brothers last September, the number of regulatory disputes has increased. Panelists will examine the architecture of regulatory systems across the region and assess what investors can reasonably expect from them.

Topics will include:

  • How the Lehman mini-bond saga has changed the landscape for regulatory disputes?
  • How regulators across the region have dealt with issues arising from the financial crisis
  • Strategies for liaising with regulators: softly or stonewall

Simply sign up to the seminar here. The seminar is free to view and once you have registered you will be able to participate in all future web seminars.
